Michelle is an Associate Lawyer at Bondy Immigration. She obtained her B.A. Honours in Political Science and International Development Studies at York University in 2013 and her J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School. She completed her articles of clerkship in refugee law.

During her time in law school, Michelle completed placements at the Human Rights Legal Support Centre and the Barbara Schlifer Clinic, and served as an executive member of the Black Law Students Association of Canada. She is a first-generation Canadian who is passionate about her role as an advocate and ally in advancing human rights and increasing access to justice for historically marginalized groups. Her advocacy work has taken her overseas where she has supported non-profit organizations in St. Kitts & Nevis and Ghana. She has also worked as an advocacy coordinator in the post-secondary education sector. Michelle currently serves on the board of directors for Elizabeth Fry Toronto and is a regional advocate for the Canadian Associate of Elizabeth Fry Societies.
