Giselle Salinas, B.A. (Hons.), J.D.

Giselle is an associate lawyer at Bondy Immigration Law. She obtained her undergraduate degree from York University, with a Specialized Honours major in Philosophy. She earned her Law Degree from the University of Ottawa. 

Prior to joining our team, Giselle articled at a civil litigation firm and then launched her own practice representing clients in immigration and refugee law.  During law school, Giselle was the Diversity Coordinating Chair of the Women’s Legal Mentorship Program (Ottawa Chapter) and she served as a caseworker for the West End Legal Services of Ottawa (assisting individuals in the areas of landlord and tenant law, immigration, and social benefits tribunal disputes). As a law student, Giselle also volunteered with FCJ Refugee Centre, where she applied her legal skills in assisting unrepresented individuals with a diverse range of immigration matters.     

Giselle’s practice primarily focuses on refugee law, family class sponsorships, economic class applications and work permits.  Due to her personal experiences with the immigration system she understands the impact the legal system can have on one's life and brings only the highest standards to every client's case. She aims to provide quality advice and guidance to her clients - ensuring they are thoroughly informed about the legal process and treated with respect.

Giselle is a member of the Canadian Hispanic Bar Association and is on the executive committee of the Refugee Lawyers Association.  

Giselle is fluent in English and Spanish.
